MeSoft Partners has announced the introduction of its MESoft Digital Dailies Review and Approval software for use in production by film and television studios, post-production houses and advertising agencies. The software company builds a digital media operating system and suite of supply chain applications for companies working with digital media content.

An official release informs that the software is utilised directly on the production set and easily ingests digitally acquired production footage from state-of-the-art film and television digital cameras. This reduces the need for expensive, time-consuming and duplicative tape and paper based analogue review methods used today. The result is an improvement in the workflow of production via the digital media software's inexpensive, collaborative, stand-alone or server based capabilities. The software's easy-to-use interface allows for real time, secure, worldwide access to dailies content regardless of client type, enabling a user to review and approve dailies online and, if desired, be handed a DVD immediately after the production shoot. This will begin the editing and post production process.

In the post production environment, the software integrates within the telecine environment to rapidly convert video streams or DPX files to digital dailies, thereby reducing production time and effort. Additionally, the flexible, open architecture design of the software allows for advertising and media companies to generate electronic press kits and provide review and approval services for network clearance.

In additition, MESoft has teamed with FotoKem Industries one of the largest post-production companies in the US, to offer services enabling studios, editing and special effects companies, advertising agencies, and other entities involved in digital media creation to access the digital media and metadata captured on the production set for viewing, editing, management, storage and distribution thereafter.
