US
based XM Satellite Radio and Command Audio have entered
into a licensing agreement for the latter's advanced application
audio technology.
The technology enables XM to develop a data application
platform for future generations of XM radios and provides
subscribers enhanced national information services dedicated
to rural, trucking and other markets. XM, one of America's
leading satellite radio services, broadcasts 100 channels
of music, sports, news and talk programming to listeners
nationwide.
XM Satellite Radio president and CEO, Hugh Panero says working
with Command Audio would give them an opportunity to access
a broad spectrum of new technologies.
