Emuzed, which provides multimedia solutions for PCs and consumer
appliances, has announced that its Maui-II PCI PVR TV tuner, video
compression capture card and MovieMill TV software will be used
in conjunction with the new Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition
software to power the PVR functionality and video capture capabilities
of the new Samsung MagicStation Q Media Center PC.
An official release stated that the MagicStation Q offered advanced
multimedia and PC functionalities to the consumer in a single device.The
key features include: personal video recorder (PVR) capability;
as well as the ability to edit, playback and record digital music,
digital video, DVDs, and digital photos. All these features were
easily available via remote control, providing a familiar TV-centric
experience to the user. In addition, the innovative consumer electronics-style
form factor of the MagicStation Q makes it an attractive
addition to the home living room, the release added.
The Emuzed Maui-II PCI PVR is an advanced TV Tuner and Video Capture
PCI card with an MPEG-2 hardware encoder, an integrated on-board
TV tuner and optional FM tuner. The release stated that Emuzed's
high-quality, low-cost design in conjunction with Microsoft's Windows
XP Media Center Edition brings significant value to the Media Center
PC user, including:
-- MPEG-2 capture from TV tuner or an external video source
-- SVCD, DVD compatible recording
-- NTSC or PAL video formats
-- On-board TV tuner, optional FM tuner
-- Superior AV sync technology
-- Two sets of video inputs
The release also added that MovieMill TV software, bundled with
the Maui-II PCI PVR, is an intuitive application which manages capture
and playback of audio/video as well as TV tuner control. MovieMill
TV is fully OEM customizable and offers multi-language support.
