Entone Technologies which claims to be a leading provider of products and services to enable enhanced home entertainment services has announced the development of its Crescendo family of home entertainment gateways.

The Crescendo solution enables up to six simultaneous television viewers and six Internet-connected PCs in a single home. An official release informs that the product is an example of the next generation of products and services that will be available to consumers as the speed of broadband networks increases due to emerging technologies such as VDSL.

According to a recent Cahners In-Stat report, the market for home entertainment gateways is anticipated to exceed $5 billion by 2005.
