Dremedia
which claims to be one of the driving forces behind the
changing face of the broadcast industry has announced the
integration of its technology into Blue Order's media archive
product.
This
has resulted in a new level of automation for media asset
management. The two companies have taken on the mantle of
creating deeply catalogued audio and video materials to
enable flexible content re-use and enhanced play-out in
competitive time-to-air situations. The companies claim
that their combined solution pushes media asset management
to the next level from a technology, workflow and economic
perspective.
The
integration of these technologies results in a highly effective,
unique approach to content management workflows for broadcast,
studio and corporate asset management. Dremedia's media
analysis engine can be deployed either at the ingest or
import stages of Blue Order's media asset management workflow
architecture to rapidly and automatically regenerate content
- either for archived video-audio material or in real-time
news-to-air production environments.
Taking
content analysis and speech recognition to a new level,
it offers automatically generated, deeply descriptive 'metadata'
transcripts that are synchronised at a frame-accurate level.
In addition, archive content can be retrieved using natural
language or concept-based search, making video content easily
available, without relying on complex taxonomies or detailed
knowledge of the archive.
