  • During 2007, 'Coca Cola India Ltd' and 'Pepsi Co' had a close competition for the first position in the top advertisers list of Beverage Industry on TV.
  • Whereas 'Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd' and 'Smithkline Beecham' shared the third rank with marginal difference in their share.

New brands launched under Beverage Industry on TV during 2007.

  • During 2007, the Top 10 list of new beverage brands advertised on TV comprised of three brands of 'Aerated Soft Drinks' and two each of 'Non Aerated Soft Drinks' and 'Tea'.

Celebrity Endorsement in the Beverage Industry during 2007.

  • 'Pepsi Mycan', 'Coca Cola' and 'Thums Up' were the top three brands with maximum advertising volumes of Celebrity endorsement ad pie of Beverages on TV during 2007.
  • During 2007 'Aamir Khan' lead with 18 per cent share of total ad volumes of Celebrity endorsement of beverages on TV, followed by 'Akshay Kumar' and 'Sachin Tendulkar' with 17 per cent and 16 per cent share respectively.

Average advertising/Day of Beverages on TV during 2006 and 2007.

  • Compared to 2006, average advertising of beverages aired per day on TV has seen a rise of 37 per cent during 2007.
  • During 2007, two brands of 'Horlicks' made it top five brands with maximum advertising frequency of ads per day on TV.
  • Three of Top five brands with maximum advertising/day on TV were of 'Milk Beverages' during 2007.
