Life insurance advt on TV registers 84% rise

Key Findings:

  • 84 per cent rise in Life Insurance Advertising on Television during Jan-Nov ‘04 compared to Jan-Nov ‘03.
  • Life Insurance shows opposite trend in 2nd half 2004 compared to that of 2003 on Television.
  • Life Insurance advertising up 353 per cent in 2003 compared to 2000 on TV.
  • ‘LIC’ top Life Insurance advertising on Television in 2004 (i.e Jan-Nov ’04).

This week, AdEx India looks at Life Insurance category. First, let’s look at the Life Insurance advertising on Television across Jan-Nov in 2003 and 2004.

 
 

84 per cent rise in Life Insurance advertising on Television during Jan-Nov 2004 compared to Jan-Nov 2003.

Now, let’s look at the advertising behavior of Life Insurance category in 2003 and 2004 on Television.

 
 

The second half 2004 shows an opposite trend in Life Insurance advertising compared to the second half 2003.

Let’s look at the advertising spends of Life Insurance in 2003 compared to the past years.

 
 

Life Insurance advertising rises 353 per cent in 2003 compared to 2000 on Television.

Lastly, let’s look at the advertisers that top Life Insurance advertising on Television in 2004 (i.e Jan-Nov ’04).

 

Life Insurance Corp of India tops Life Insurance advertising (with 27 per cent of the advertising share) closely followed by ICICI Prudential Life Insurance (with 25 per cent of the share) at the second position. Others constitutes of SBI Life Insurance, Metlife India, Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance etc.
