Print ads on TV see a 51% rise

Key Findings:

  • 51 per cent rise in Print Ads appearing on Television in '04 compared to '03.
  • Top five Publication groups consist of 41 per cent of the advertising share in '04.
  • The Top five Publication groups spend maximum monies (i.e 45 per cent of advertising share) on News channels in 2004.

This week, AdEx India looks at the 'Print Ads appearing on Television'. Below is the growth of Print Ads advertising on TV across the years 2001-04.

 
 
  • Advertising observes growth every alternate year across 2001-04.
  • 2002 & 2004 shows growth of 67 per cent and 51 per cent respectively over previous year.

Let's also look at the Top Publications groups advertised on Television in 2004.

 
 
  • Kunguman Publication of Tamil Nadu state tops in 2004 with 11 per cent of the share followed by Living Media at second position.
  • Sahara India & Bennett Coleman gets 8 per cent each.
