Cadbury's India Ltd. emerges as a leader with nearly 52% of
the Advertising pie in TV in this category in 2003.

First, let's have a look at the trend of Chocolates Advertising
in the first half of year 2004 compared to the same of year 2003
on Television.
Here, Chocolates Advertising shows a growth of nearly 23% in the
first half of year 2004 compared to the year 2003 on Television.
Now, let's look at the trend of advertising in the Chocolates category
on Television in the first half of year 2003 and 2004.
Here, Chocolates Advertising shows a peak in the month of February
on Television in the first half of year 2003 as well as 2004.
Advertising in the Chocolates category is expected to be quite
seasonal. Let's check out whether that's actually the case.
The graph shows that Chocolates Advertising spends in TV shows
a growth in the third or the fourth quarter across the years (2000-2003).
Let's look at the Top Advertisers - which dominate this category
in TV.
The graph shows that Cadbury's India Ltd. tops with 52%
share of the Advertising pie on Television. Nestle India
Limited grabs the 2nd position with 34% share whereas Parle
Products gets the 3rd position with 8% of the Advertising
share. Other Advertisers who could make up to the Top 5
are S K Industries and Campco.
Let's look at the brands that are advertised the maximum
by the Top 3 Advertisers: Cadbury's India Ltd., Nestle India
Limited and Parle Products.
First, have a look on the % share of brands advertised
by Cadbury's on Television.
Here, the 6 Cadbury brands shown in the graph comprises
of 85% of the Advertising pie whereas rest of the 9 brands
advertised by Cadbury comprises of 15% of the Advertising.
Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate is the most advertised brand
(with 22%).
Now, have a look on the % share of brands advertised by
Nestle India Limited on Television.
Here, the 6 Nestle brands shown in the graph comprises
of 89% of the Advertising pie whereas rest of the 4 brands
advertised by Nestle comprises of 11% of the Advertising.
Nestle Milk Chocolate is the most advertised brand (with
29%).
In the last, have a look on the % share of brands advertised
by Parle Products on Television.
Parle Melody is the most advertised brand, with 49% of
the Advertising pie, by Parle Products. Parle Chox (with
47%), the second most advertised brand by Parle Products
and Parle Mango Bite/melody gets 4% of the Advertising share
on Television.
