Two Wheeler advertising on TV dips nearly 15% in the H1 of 2004 compared to 2003

Last week, we had a look on the Commercial Vehicles category. This week, AdEx India looks at the last category of the Automobiles sector - Two Wheelers. First, let's have a look at the trend of Advertising in the Two Wheelers category in the first half of year 2004 compared to the same of year 2003 on Television.

 
 

Here, Two Wheeler Advertising shows a dip of nearly 15% on Television in the first half of year 2004 compared to the first half of 2003.

Now, let's look at the trend of advertising in the Two Wheeler category on Television in the year 2003 compared to the year before that.

 
 

We see that Two Wheeler Advertising on Television shows a rise of 38% in the year 2003 compared to the year 2002. The graph shows the indexed spends of the Two Wheeler category on Television Advertising since 2002.

Advertising in the Two Wheeler category is expected to be quite seasonal. Let's check out whether that's actually the case.

 
 

The graph shows that Two Wheeler Advertising spends on Television shows a growth in the last quarter across the years (2000-2002), whereas, the year 2003 was an exception.

Let's look at the Advertisers - which dominate this category in TV. The graph shows that Hero Honda Motors Ltd Tops the Advertiser's list with 26.3% of the Advertising pie. Lml Ltd. grabs the 2nd position with 19%, Bajaj Auto and Tvs Motors Company gets the 3rd and 4th position with 17.8% and 11.3% respectively. Other Advertiser's are Kinetic Engineering Limited, Yamaha Motor India Pvt. Ltd., Kinetic Motors Ltd. etc.
