Key Findings:

  • TV ad volumes of 'Housing and Construction Loans' increased by 53 per cent in year 2010 compared to the previous year
  • Housing and Construction Loan advertising formed 39 per cent share of the overall ad volumes in loans category
  • Top 2 advertisers 'Union Bank India' & 'Rose Valley Housing Development Finance' contributed to more than 50 per cent share of overall ad volumes
  • National and Regional media enjoyed equal amount of attention from brands that advertised for housing and construction loans
 
  • 'Housing and Construction Loans' TV Advertising witnessed a growth of 53 per cent in year 2010 vis-à-vis 2009
 
  • Housing and Construction Loan advertising formed 39 per cent share of the overall advertising of Loans which was next only to Mortgage Loan advertising that topped at 47 per cent
 
  • The top two advertisers contributed to more than half of the overall ad volumes in 2010
  • 'Union Bank of India' topped the chart with 40 per cent share followed by 'Rose Valley Housing Development Finance' with 15 per cent share
 
  • National and Regional media enjoyed equal amount of attention from brands that advertised for housing and construction loans. A clear 50-50 in both media is evident in the pie here
 
  • Top five states grabbed 61 per cent of total ad volumes with Maharashtra holding a good 23 per cent share
  • Regional news channels stole the show with 28 per cent share while Regional GEC took away 16 per cent of the pie
