Key Findings:

  • TV ad volumes of 'Banking & Financial Services' sector increased by 19 per cent during Jan - Dec 2010 compared to Jan - Dec 2009
  • Amongst Banking and Finance Sector, 'Insurance' and 'Banking' were the maximum advertised categories and contributed to 70 per cent of advertising
  • During 2010 the maximum advertising of Banking and Financial services was done during January, February, March and December which contributed to 47 per cent of overall adverting during the year
  • 'Banking & Financial Services' advertising on National and Regional channels was in the ratio of 60:42 during 2010
 
  • 'Banking & Financial Services' sector grew by 19 per cent in its TV ad volumes during Jan - Decd 2010 compared Jan - Dec 2010
 
  • Amongst Banking and Finance Sector, 'Insurance' and 'Banking' were the maximum advertised categories and contributed to 70 per cent of advertising
 
  • During 2010 the maximum advertising of Banking and Financial services was done during January, February, March and December which contributed to 47 per cent of overall adverting during the year
  • March was the most advertised month with 14 per cent in 2010 followed by January, February & December with 11 per cent each
 
  • 'Life Insurance Corporation of India' the top most advertiser with almost 9 per cent of share during 2010 followed by 'Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co. Ltd.' and 'ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co.'
  • The top 10 advertisers contributed to 37 per cent of overall Banking & Finance Sector Advertising during 2010
 
  • Manappuram Loan Against Gold, Bank of India and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance were the top 3 advertised Banking & Financial Services brands on TV during 2010
 
  • 'Banking & Financial Services' advertising on National and Regional channels was in the ratio of 60:42 during 2010
  • Kerala, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh contributed 49 per cent of regional TV advertising of Banking & Finance services during 2010
