On
the media front, TV
Today Networks was the biggest looser as it was down 8.06
per cent to Rs 97. The company's shares lost ground on account
of selling brought on by the disappointing quarterly results.
For the quarter ended 30 September 2004, the company posted
a loss of Rs 1.12 crore on total income of Rs 29.22 crore.
Over 1.25 lakh TV Today shares were traded on BSE today.
NDTV
Ltd followed suit as it posted a loss of 3.80
per cent. The company's shares opened at Rs 105.25
and closed at Rs 99.95.
A total of 258,061 NDTV shares were traded on the BSE today.
Soap
factory Balaji Telefilms also lay low with a loss of 2.05
per cent. The company's shares opened at Rs 99 and closed
at Rs 97.75. A
little less than three lakh Balaji shares were traded in the
market today.
For
those who made a gain on the Sensex today were - Adlabs
Films (1.55 per cent), K
Sera Sera (2.32 per cent), Pritish
Nandy (1.32 per cent) and Shri Adhikari Brothers (1.52
per cent). All in all, majority of the media scrips were in
the green today even if by a small margin.
