Sensex makes a strong comeback

Zee Telefilms - Top gainer on the Sensex

	MUMBAI: Sizable volumes of over 1.85 million shares were traded on the BSE by 14:50 IST. Media heavy weight Zee Telefilms, was the biggest gainer on the 30-share BSE Sensex, up 7.38 per cent to Rs 133.10 on BSE. The Sensex closed today at 5,667.51 up 100.39 points while the the NSE`s 50-share S&P CNX Nifty closed today at 1800.30 up 34.50 points. Read on...

Among the big boys, Zee Telefilms came out as an absolute winner, trading over two million shares over the counter.

Following closely was Pritish Nandy Communications gaining a whopping 16.54 per cent closing at Rs 37.70.

Mukta arts also emerged a winner gaining almost four per cent closing at Rs 51.65 today.

Padmalaya Telefilms, sister concern of Zee Telefilms and Adlab Films joined the bandwagon gaining 2.24 per cent and 1.57 per cent closing at Rs 61.60 and Rs 97.30 respectively

Major losers today included Cinevistaas, Balaji Telefilms, Creative Eye and Crest Communication.

Cinevistaas and Creative Eye were down 4.30 and 5.61 per cent respectively.

Balaji telefilms opened at Rs 87.85 and ended the session closing at 85.15 losing 3.07 per cent. Crest Communication followed suit losing more than three per cent.

All in All the media scrips did look a little brighter as quite a few scrips recovered , considering that this week saw a lot of reds.
