Many media stocks witness smart recoveries; Zee down 5 %

	MUMBAI:After a weak opening, the last half hour’s trade saw a gain of nearly 25 points on the Sensex. The Sensex traded 39.84 points lower at 5,673.25 at 15:30 IST and recovered from the day’s low of 5,626.41. The NSE S & P CNX Nifty Index was down 3.90 points at 1,812.65. For Media scrips it was a good day at the office with most stocks showing smart recoveries away from the negative terrain they treaded over the last few days. Read on...

At the end of the day gainers outnumbered losers. The major gainers of the day were K Sera Sera and Shri Adhikari Brothers with over 4 per cent gain closing the day at Rs 64.50 and Rs 60.25.

Others to follow were Cinevistaas and Mukta Arts which ended trade at Rs 27.80 and Rs 51.70 respectively, gaining 2.77 per cent and 2.38 per cent.

Adlabs Films with a gain of over two per cent closed at 98.30.

Padmalaya Telefilms and Pritish Nandy Communications were some of the other scrips to follow the leader in the gainers list and managed to close at Rs 60.00 and Rs 65.25 gained over one per cent.

The losers list, on the other hand, had Galaxy Entertainment with 8.28 per cent loss became the major loser of the day closing at Rs 26.60.

Among the other notable losers were Zee Telefilms down 5.15 per cent loss and closing at Rs 136.20, followed by ETC Network at Rs 38.00, a loss of 4.04 per cent.

Others like BAG Films, TV Eighteen, Hinduja TMT, Saregama and Sandesh Ltd were also in the red.
