Its other ambitious ventures may still have to see the light of day, but Nimbus' motion pictures division is firing on all cylinders.

Close on the heels of the success of its first venture, Marathi feature film Ek Hoti Waadi, comes the launch of the long delayed Hindi flick, Sarhad Paar. The film, to star Sanjay Dutt, Tabu, Mahima Chaudhary, Chandrachur Singh, and Rahul Dev, went on the floors on 27 February.

Sarhad Paar is the first Hindi film venture from the Nimbus stables, as the production house prepares to unleash six Hindi, regional and international productions in the next two years. Sarhad Paar will be directed by Raman Kumar and is co-scripted by Akash Khurana, Nimbus chief operating officer, movies and music.

The party that marked the launch was a star studded affair, with the main cast making its presence felt at the do held at Spices at the J W Marriot Hotel in Juhu.
