indiantelevision.com continues its close and detailed look at the new news channels that have been launched. As stressed earleir when we started this exercise, we resisted the temptation (everyone seemed to be doing it) of making knee-jerk assessments and have given a lead time of a minimum of 15 days to arrive at what we think of the news channels on air.

We have tried to keep our observations as clear as possible by looking at a fixed set of parameters and deriving our conclusions.

After our review of Star News and Sahara Samay Rashtriya, we now look at NDTV 24x7 and NDTV India.

We could not provide a review of Headlines Today last week as earlier planned since the channel was not available on most distribution networks at the time.
