The Lord of The Rings Producer, Director, Screenplay Writer Peter Jackson

CNN's has announced plans on a smaller scale compared to the other three channels. The channel is not indulging in any marketing or promotional activity in India to create awareness about the event unlike the other three channels. Ranjita Menon, marketing communications manager, said that CNN news programmes will bring viewers the latest news and gossip from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood in the run up to the ceremony.

On 25 March, there will be constant updates on the show on World News. Menon added that Los Angeles-based channel correspondent Eric Horng would provide live shots.

Viacom's Jimmy Neutron

He will report from the roof of CNN's Los Angeles bureau with the Hollywood sign in the background. Also, Lilian Kim, who is based in CNN's Seattle bureau, will do live shots the day after the event.

Best Actor nominee Will Smith

In addition to CNN's on air coverage, CNN.com's entertainment team will be posting all the news and details of the Oscars online. A special site will provide the full list of nominations in, report the run up to the awards and the background on 2002's short listed films and stars and report on the events in Los Angeles on awards night.
