On Your Call this week, Omar Abdullah, The Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir,
and son of politician Farooq Abdullah candidly speaks about issues on Kashmir
to the allegations against him on Shopian case and to his views on the new breed
of young politicians. During
the show Omar Abdullah shares his opinion on the charges levelled against him
regarding the controversial Shopian case. He also takes upon the Opposition party
leader Mehbooba Mufti for terming him as politically immature. When
questioned by Delhi CM Sheila Dixit on improving the security scenario in the
state Omar shares her concern and accepts it to be one of the biggest challenges
his government faces today. On the show, Omar also answers queries from viewers
on demand for autonomy for the J&K government to questions on terrorism in
the state. Pointing towards the recent incident where a J&K cricketer was
targeted in Bangalore, he urges for a change in the perception about the Kashmiri
Muslims. He recounts his state of mind before delivering his famous impromptu
speech in the Parliament He
gives his views to anchor Sonia Singh on his friend Rahul Gandhi as being the
future Prime Minister. He also goes on to share the pros and cons of hailing from
