| MUMBAI:
PIX, the premium English movie channel from Multi Screen Media Pvt Ltd brings
you this January, a visually dazzling black comedy based on notorious television
producer Chuck Barris' unauthorized autobiography 'Confessions of a Dangerous
Mind'. The film stars George Clooney in his directorial debut along with Sam Rockwell,
Drew Barrymore, and Julia Roberts. PIX will air the film on Sunday, January 25,
2009 at 8pm as the Tent Pole Picture of the month. Clooney's film that has won
7 nominations and 7 awards reinforces Barris' outlandish claim that he lived a
secret life as a hitman for the CIA. Sam
Rockwell stars as Barris, who moves to New York to find success in the television
industry. Very soon he has his first successful game show, 'The Dating Game'.
He is soon lured into the dangerous world of being a CIA operative. While Barris
gains notoriety as a dynamic television producer creating popular game shows,
he regularly executes assassinations for the United States government.
As
television ratings rise, the conflicted producer uses them as a front for his
undercover job, chaperoning winning couples all over the world while performing
his deadly duties after hours. As
Barris basks in the glamour of entertainment and espionage - his life begins to
spiral out of control. He is torn between the woman who loves him and the mysterious
woman of his fantasies. He receives mass criticism from the public who accuse
him of contaminating the airwaves and he finds himself marked for death by a traitor
operative. Barris' challenge is to regain control of both his lives! Clooney's
film features yet another electrifying performance from Rockwell of 'Lawn Dogs'
and 'Safe Men' fame. Brilliant performances by Drew Barrymore, George Clooney
and Julia Roberts rank the movie a must-watch. Matt Damon and Brad Pitt make a
cameo appearance as two game show contestants on 'The Dating Game'! Tune
in to the PIX Tent Pole Picture of the Month for one of Hollywood's most brilliant
films, 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind' this Sunday, January 25 2009 at 8pm only
