MUMBAI:
England begin a new chapter in their cricketing history under captain
Andrew Strauss, as they travel to the West Indies for a crucial
series.
And
as both the teams look forward to a positive out come from the four-Test
match, five One Day International and one Twenty20 match series,
Ten Sports, the most watched sports channel in the Sub-continent,
will be in the Caribbean Islands to bring all the action live and
exclusive.
Live
telecast of the series starts with the first Test match in Sabina
Park, Kingston, Jamaica. The match starts Wednesday, February 4,
from 8:30 pm IST.
England
will hope to continue their good showing against the West Indies.
Their last defeat against the Caribbeans came in 2000, and they
have won 13 Test matches without losing any. This period also includes
Brian Laras historic knock of 400, which came during the drawn
final Test of 2003-04 series
England
will be boost ahead of the match after talismanic all-rounder Andrew
Flintoff came through a long session in the nets and indicated he
should be fit to play.
Flintoff,
who injured his side in the tour opener last week, was considered
doubtful but has made a quicker-than-expected recovery. He said
on the eve of the match: All things are pointing to being
all right, so barring a mishap I should be fine.
Flintoffs
inclusion will certainly make the England bowling look more penetrating
and Strauss will also be hoping that a return to Sabina Park brings
back some good memories and motivate Steve Harmison, who took a
career-best 7 for 12 when England last played a Test here.
Despite
the West Indies being two spots lower in the ICC Test rankings to
Englands fifth, West Indies coach John Dyson is positive his
side will be competitive throughout the series.
We
are looking forward to a hard-fought series. There arent any
easy teams around the world and all the series are going to be hard.
But I think, as always, if our guys play as well as they can, they
will come out of the series looking pretty good, said Dyson.
