Radio City 91.1FM, India’s Leading Radio Network supported
Abhishek Bachchan’s record breaking 11 and a half hour 7 city
tour on Feb 22, 2009. As a part of the promotions for Delhi 6,
the lead actor visited 7 cities - Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad, Saket,
Gurgaon, Chandigarh and Mumbai in a whirlwind 11 and a half hour
journey. Breaking the previous 12 hour 5 city tour record held by
Jurgen Vogel and Daniel Bruhl from Germany, Abhishek Bachchan successfully
attempted an entry into the coveted Guinness Book of World Records.
Supporting this record breaking attempt, Radio City 91.1FM followed
Abhishek’s progress every step of the way relaying live updates
of his journey.
To
make this even more exciting for listeners, Radio City 91.1FM conducted
a fun 2 day on-air contest. Five lucky Radio Cityzens from Ghaziabad,
Noida, Faridabad, Saket, Gurgaon and Mumbai won themselves a ‘Whatte
Fun’ opportunity to meet and interact with their favourite
star – Abhishek Bachchan!

Abhishek
started off his 7 city tour at 12 noon on Sunday, Feb 22, 2009 at
PVR, Ghaziabad. From here, he visited PVR Spice, Noida followed
by PVR Crown Plaza, Faridabad, PVR Anupam, Saket and PVR Gurgaon.
From here, Bachchan Jr. flew to PVR Chandigarh before dashing off
to his final pit stop at PVR Juhu in Mumbai in a record 11 and a
half hours. Delhi 6, a story of love and self discovery set
within the walled city of Delhi, which is a microcosm of India with
all its chaos and contradictions is produced by UTV Motion Pictures
and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Productions. Abhishek’s record
breaking journey, an initiative by UTV Motion Pictures, ROMP and
Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., was powered by BJETS
in association with PVR.
