MUMBAI:
Amrita TV, the Malayalam general entertainment channel, is set to
woo its female audience once again with the second season of its
popular women-centric talk show Sakhi which has been launched
on Monday 9 February.
This
time, after tasting the success of the first season, the channel
has extended the time of the show to one hour, with improvisations
in its format - special outdoor segments, phone-outs by the anchor
and phone-ins from viewers. It is being aired from Monday-Thursday
at 12 noon.
The
show will be anchored by Geeta Bakshi, noted journalist and editor
of the magazine Nostalgia.
The
topics for the episodes are selected from a wide spectrum of subjects
that, channel claims, will be interesting, informative and will
appeal across the entire cross-section of the fairer sex, from the
polished cosmopolitan to the rural rustic; beauty, fashion, health
care, yoga, travel and parenting skills.
