The world’s biggest “cricketainment” event is back! The Opening
Ceremony of the DLF IPL Season 2 promises to be a gala extravaganza and a visual
treat. Watch it Live & Exclusively on MAX as the 8 IPL teams make their dramatic
entry onto the field, led by the flag artists, to the contemporary beats of Indian
and African Dejembe drummers dressed in colourful costumes. Zulu dancers in full
regimental attire will then perform an energetic ensemble. A
Pantsula dance performance by the Gum Boot Dancers, renowned international band
Snow Patrol, a colourful swarm of “butterfly dancers” swaying and fluttering
to music, acrobatic performances, a high power laser show, sky tracers, fire dancers
and lots more form a part of the breathtaking Opening Ceremony of the biggest
television event. Hollywood
actors are likely to grace the opening ceremony on April 18 at Newlands alongside
IPL franchise owners and Bollywood super stars Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta and
Shilpa Shetty. Highlights
of the street carnivals which started on the 16th in South Africa, as a precursor
to the IPL, will also be a part of the exciting broadcast lineup on MAX.
