MUMBAI:
The Last King of Scotland is an Academy Award-winning film based
on Giles Foden's novel of the same name. The film tells the fictional
story of Dr. Nicholas Garrigan a young Scottish doctor who travels
to Uganda and becomes the personal physician to the dictator Idi
Amin. The movie is based on factual and true-to-life events of Amin's
rule. Starring James McAvoy and Forest Whitaker in the key roles,
make sure you don't miss the exclusive premiere of 'The Last King
of Scotland' this Friday, March 21 at 9 p.m. on Star Movies.
"Forest
Whitaker, uncorking the power that he usually holds in check, gives
a chilling, bravura performance as Ugandan tyrant Idi Amin, whose
bloody regime slaughtered more than 300,000 people. This [is an]
intelligent, sometimes gruesome thriller."
