MUMBAI:
Zee TV, India's largest media and entertainment conglomerate proudly
announces the winner of the largest musical reality show with little
young talents; Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs. From lakhs
of young participants across 5 continents and 6 different countries,
the search has finally come to an end, declaring Anamika as the
winner of this singing contest.
 Commenting
on the culmination of the most popular and original children's talent
competition across the globe, Tarun Mehra, Business Head, Zee TV
said, "This season of Li'l Champs was different from the various
other reality shows trying to showcase talent on TV. Both our esteemed
judges, Sonu Niigam and Suresh Wadkar, tutored the kids to an extent
that will hold them in good stead all their lives. Also never once
did they disagree publicly on the show/format/performance. It gives
me great pleasure announcing Anamika as the winner since he/she
truly was the most versatile of the group."
Adding
further Tarun said, "With the culmination of this season's
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, the channel intends to take a break from the format
and bring in something new and refreshing for its audiences. We
are ushering an entirely new show called Airtel Rock N Roll Family
where three generations of a family shall come together on a single
platform to compete for India's first Rock 'N' Roll family. Again
this is first in its category and we are hoping that people will
accept it the way they have been doing Sa Re Ga Ma Pa."
The
mega finale took place at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai on
March 1st, 2008 where the three finalists, Tanmay Chaturvedi, Anamika
Choudhary and Rohanpreet Singh performed live with mentors, Sonu
Niigaam and Suresh Wadkar, before a throbbing audience of over 12,000.
The stage was set alive with memorable performances by Smriti Irani,
Rajshree Thakur and Divyanka Tripathy. The surprise element of the
evening was Kajol and Ajay Devgan who launched Zee TV's yet another
block-buster show Rock 'N' Roll Family. The atmosphere was electrifying
with the crowd rooting for their favorite contestant and the judges
encouraging them to sing their best.
Anamika,
the winner of Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs 2008 stands
to win cash of Rs. 20 lakhs from Kidzee, I-10 Hyundai car and a
laptop from HDFC insurance. First and second runner-up gets cash
of Rs. 15 lakhs and Rs. 10 lakhs respectively.
