It was, as it turned out, as easy as predicting the outcome of a Nadal-Federer
encounter on clay. Even the pre-event grapevine didn't worry itself with unnecessary
speculation. Ogilvy, it is going to be. Ogilvy it was. And how! Once again - and
the third time in a row - Ogilvy picked up the honours at the Annual Calcutta
Advertising Club Awards for creative excellence. And the of course, the coveted
Agency of the Year. According
to Sharmista Dev, General Manager, Ogilvy Kolkata, " Ogilvy is known for
it's creative excellence but winning this trophy year after year also indicates
our consistency. This to me is most gratifying." Interestingly,
Ogilvy's role in the awards night actually started weeks before the event itself,
creating as it did a much needed hype by way of an eye-catching - and 360 degree
to boot campaign for the city's premier advertising function, based on a "War
of Ideas'' theme - a battle which we, and rather fittingly, won! |
