MUMBAI:
Its comeback season on Comedy Circus and no one does it better than
the hilarious and witty jodis of celebrity and stand-up comedians.
In this second round of performance (all the eliminated six jodis
got this second round to perform as decisions about eliminations
cannot be taken on the basis of a single performance…..and
hence this second chance, where two will be eliminated and the remaining
four will join the already three safe jodis). To make the judgments
better……. the three exceptional judges had Farida Jalal
as a special jury joining them on the podium. The show began with
Sayantani and Kuldeep who recreated the disaster named "Kya
Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain" as "Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas
Se Boodhu Hain" where Kuldeep played the host to not kids but
social worker Sayantani.....who indeed taught a thing or two to
Kuldeep. Next was a desperate Pathan (Pervez) trying his best to
woo a pretty looking Aakashdep Saigal…..an act that will definitely
make you roll with laughter…..Rajesh Kumar and Rajiv Nigam
set the laughter roaring with an act of a nagging wife (Rajiv Nigam)
and her irritated husband (Rajesh Nigam). Sucheta and Salim chose
the off beaten track of political humour where Sucheta played Sonia
Gandhi and Salim; Parvez Musharraf…..curious to know what came
out of this act par excellence…well, you have to wait for the
magic to unfold….taking this magic forward were Chitrashi (a
writer) and Rehman (a movie director) who sure revealed few tricks
of the trade……..and last but not the least were Juhi and
VIP….Juhi played a blabbermouth radio jockey and on mic giving
her company were…..Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, Dev Anand and
Rajendra Kumar…….err, as in……the voices of all
these legends were mimicked by the super talented mimic VIP who
was speaking to his fans in true filmi ishtyle….
What
followed was a laugh riot… but with the extra critical judges
and another judge (Farida Jalal) joining this time around and this
being a comeback round…..the contestants were a nervous lot…….
Who
were the eliminated two jodis and who will join the remaining jodis
on this laughter ride.
