MUMBAI:
The presence of one of the most divine Bollywood beauty Vidya Balan
adds to the first weekend bash of New Year's Amul Star Voice of
India Chhote Ustaad on Sat, 5 Jan , 10 p.m. only on Star
Plus . The other surprise for the contestants, Abhaas & the
entire team is that Shaan returns to the platform of Chhote Ustaad
as Shaan Chacha. He will be making regular special appearances to
guide the participants.
Greeting
everyone in her trademark line "Gooodmorniiiing Mumbai"
on host Abhaas' request, Vidya Balan joked, "My mother has
warned me to not sing as the kids on the show are extremely talented."
The
show kickstarts when Shaan and all the participants sing to the
tune of the peppy title track in the film 'Welcome'. This
performance will be followed by another amazing act where the '
pahari dragon' - Prakriti Giri sings 'Mera Dil'. One
of the most talented& popular contestant Jayant Singh sings
'Tanha Dil' from Shaan's famous album. His performance gets
him many accolades from the judges and Vidya Balan. Pritam appreciates
Jayant's ability to concentrate on each details of the song. The
chirpiest contestant from Delhi, Mansi also gives a superb performance
on the song 'Kasto Mazaa' this rendition makes Vidya
Balan recollect her debut movie 'Parineeta' . Another talented
participant Vyom Kapoor sings one of Shaan's popular numbers 'Chand
Shifarish'. The tiniest of them all, Abeer sings 'Janab E
Ali' and proves that he not only just cute, but can also give
a striking performance.
One
of the most talented contestant Aishwariya sings to the tune of
'Piyu Bole'. Vidya comes on stage and does a lip sync, making Aishwariya
smile and hide behind Abhaas to sing. All the judges appreciate
Aishwariya's remarkable talent and say that she sings like a professional
and could give playback to any heroine. Soniya lends her voice to
the song 'Chanda Re' while the UP boy Areeb gets everyone on their
feet with the foot tapping number 'Thade Vaste'. Last but not the
least the 'junior Shreya Ghoshal' Anwesha brilliantly performs to
the song 'Mere Dholna' and leave everyone awestruck by her talent.
Vidya
had plenty of gifts to take home - Prakriti gave her a Buddhist
lucky charm; Areeb wooed her with a white rose. Aishwarya presented
Vidya and Shaan with Ghor Papdi, a homemade Gujarati sweet made
by her Dadi. In return, Vidya surprised Soniya with an audio visual
of Soniya's mother who is recovering from a heart problem.
