MUMBAI:
The top three teams in the Dutch League - PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord
- will all be seen in live action during the weekend on Ten Sports,
the most watched sports channel in the Sub-continent.
PSV, who are leading the table with 49 points from 22 matches, will
travel to the 11th placed AZ Alkmaar on Saturday night, and on Sunday,
it will be second placed Ajax against Feyenoord, who are third despite
having 41 points - the same as Ajax.
Live telecast of the AZ vs PSV match starts 12:30 am IST on Sunday,
February 3, while the Ajax-Feyenoord match kicks off at 11:30 pm
IST on the same day.
PSV are on a superb run, winning their last three matches, including
a crushing 2-0 defeat of Ajax playing away on January 30. But they
will be wary of AZ, who held Feyenoord to a 2-2 draw, also playing
away.
The match between Ajax and Feyenoord, who have been held to two
successive draws at home by lowly-placed teams, will decide who
takes the second place in the highly competitive Dutch League.
With both Heerenveen and FC Groningen breathing down their neck
- both have 40 points from 22 outings, a loss for either Ajax and
Feyenoord can potentially push them back to the fifth place.
