MUMBAI: Hindi General
Entertainment Channel (GEC) 9X, launched just over five months back by INX Media,
the flagship company of the INX Network, continues to grow week on week. It is
now the Number 3 Hindi GEC in the country across both demographics C&S
15-24 and C&S 4+, per aMap data released for Week 17 of 2008 in the West,
North and East.
The
GEC report card for India per aMap in C&S 4+ is as follows: Star Plus (291
GRPs), Zee (182 GRPs), 9X (88 GRPs), NDTV Imagine (80 GRPs), Star One (67 GRPs),
Sony (66 GRPs) and Sahara One (54 GRPs). In
the C&S 15-24 years audience segment, 9X is the Number 3 Hindi GEC with 92
GRPs. The GRPs for all the channels in this segment are: Star Plus (298 GRPs),
Zee (173 GRPs), 9X (92 GRPs), NDTV Imagine (81 GRPs), Star One (70 GRPs), Sony
(61 GRPs) and Sahara One (56 GRPs). INX
Media is firmly on course with its plans for 9X, which has grown steadily week
on week, to reach the Number 3 position amongst Hindi GECs in both, the C&S4+
and the 15-24 yrs segments. In
fact, the entire INX Network is surging ahead 9X is the Number 3 GEC; 9XM
is Indias Number One Music Entertainment Channel by far; INX News
premier English News Channel, NewsX -- which is also India's first HDTV-ready
news channel -- has completed one month today (27th April). 9x, which has had
one of the most successful C&S TV channel launches in the recent past, has
grown steadily in ratings week on week and is firmly on course in its quest for
industry leadership. The
channel, which has achieved these excellent ratings with just two-and-a-half hours
of weekday primetime programming, can look forward to better ratings as it will
fill up two more hours of original prime time programming in the next five months. |
