MUMBAI:
As the Premier League Dart series heads towards a stunning finale,
it is fast turning into a battle between youth and experience, and
Ten Sports, the most watched sports channel in the Sub-continent,
will be there each week till the winner is decided for the cash-rich
tournament.
With
just three weeks remaining, the action promises to be intense and
super-charged at the Wembley Arena on Thursday, April 17.
Veteran
Phil Taylor, who was undefeated in the first three years of the
competition, seems to have recovered completely from his early season
setbacks, and is just one point behind league leader and debutant
James Wade, who has 16 points from 11 weeks.
But
Wayde has the arduous task of taking on third-placed Raymond van
Barneveld, semi-finalist in the last two seasons, at Odyssey Arena
in Belfast next week, while Taylor has three lowly-ranked opponents
in the next three weeks, and his 8-2 win over Barneveld last week
is sure to give him an extra dose of confidence.
The
top four players at the end of 14 weeks of league stage, head to
Cardiff for the playoffs. The semi-finals are to be best-of-21 affair,
while the final will be a best-of-31 set match.
Live
telecast from Wembley Arena starts at 1:00 am IST on Friday, April
18.
