MUMBAI:
Nimbus Sport International Pte Ltd. and Joost (www.joost.com)
have further extended their distribution deal for internet clips
from the Barclays Premier League by agreeing to a deal for additional
territories like the Middle East, North Africa, Brazil, Belgium,
Greece, Portugal, New Zealand and Oceania.
Last
week, Joost, the global online television platform, and Nimbus Sport
had agreed similar distribution deals for Barclays Premier League
internet clips in the Indian subcontinent, Hong Kong, Japan and
other Asian countries.

Nimbus
Sport in alliance with PA Sport EV is marketing the internet and
mobile clip rights of the Barclays Premier League for three seasons
commencing from 2007/2008 until 2009/2010.

Internet
users in all countries under the deal will be able to view match
highlights of all Barclays Premier League games including each and
every goal scored, as well as special features such as Player of
the Week, Team of the Week and Golden Moments, for free, as part
of a dedicated advertising-funded Barclays Premier League channel
(http://joost.com/2685pca).
The
Barclays Premier League will comprise a total of 1140 matches to
be played over 3 years until the end of the 2009-10 season. The
current season, encompassing 380 matches, kicked off on the 11th
of Aug 2007 and will end in mid-May 2008.
The
rights awarded to Nimbus Sport International Pte Ltd span countries
across the globe - including China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand,
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and other countries in Asia;
UAE, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, as well as countries in the Middle
East and North Africa; Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece, and Belgium
in Europe; and reaching as far as Brazil, Australia and New Zealand.
