MUMBAI: … A story of a man who was sentenced to death for
a crime he did not commit and his brother's elaborate plan to help
him escape his death sentence. Amid the action and suspense, this
compelling Golden Globe nominated series gets closer to unraveling
the mysteries regarding the mysterious murder and exposing a conspiracy
of national proportions. The exciting new series, 'PRISON BREAK',
premiers this Thursday, March 27th at 10 p.m. only on Star World.

Break follows the story of Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller),
a desperate man, in a desperate situation. After Michael's brother
Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) is sentenced to death for the
murder of the vice president's brother, Michael begins to believe
that there is more to the story than meets the eye. Convinced of
his brother's innocence, Michael holds up a bank with the intention
of being incarcerated in Fox River State Penitentiary alongside
his brother. Once inside, and with detailed plans of the prison,
it is a race against time as Michael sets out to execute an elaborate
plan to break out of prison with his brother before his scheduled
execution, and ultimately prove his innocence.
In order to execute his plans, Michael deals with the harsh politics
of prison life as he aligns himself with a group of prisoners, including
his cellmate Fernando Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), former mob boss John
Abruzzi (Peter Stormare), the well connected C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar),
homicidal pedophile T-Bag (Robert Knepper) and Charles Westmoreland
(Muse Watson), a man Michael believes to be the infamous skyjacker
D.B. Cooper. Also helping to put together the mysteries of the murder
is defense attorney Veronica Donovan (Robin Tunney), who is also
Lincoln's former girlfriend. Rounding up the cast is Sara Tancredi
(Sarah Wayne Callies), the prison doctor who finds herself making
a connection with Michael and ultimately finds herself a reluctant
ally in planning Michael's escape.
The first episode will see, Michael Scofield attempting to rob
a bank in order to get imprisoned at Fox River State Penitentiary,
where his brother Lincoln Burrows, accused of murdering the Vice
President's brother, is scheduled to be executed. At Fox River,
Michael approaches a number of inmates, all of whom play an important
role in his plan to free his brother from the inside. Meanwhile,
agents Kellerman and Hale are determined to make sure the execution
goes through as planned. Lincoln's son LJ gets into trouble….
