To celebrate the endeavours of socially responsible citizens of
Delhi, Radio City, Delhi is joining hands with Swechha (We for Yamuna)
and the British Council India to usher in 'Yamunotsav - the celebration
of the spirit of Yamuna'; to draw the attention of Delhiites towards
critical environmental concerns. To rediscover the relationship
with the environment, Yamunotsav, will also be celebrating
a cultural evening on 4 June at the British Council Theatre, 17

major attractions of the evening is the premier of the film Wasted,
a documentary produced by Swechha that traces the journey of waste
produced from households to final destination, viz. landfills and

culture of producing waste and, the ignorance of the adverse social
and ecological effects associated with the same.
Another major highlight of the evening is a musical extravaganza
featuring Rahul Ram (of Indian Ocean fame) in concert with Jigri.
While Rahul Ram has enthralled millions across the globe with his
unmatched musical talent; Jigri, a part of Swechha
is a band with a cause; striving to spread the message of social
citizenship. Listeners can also catch the band Jigri perform
live in the studios on 5 June 2007 on the Radio City's Breakfast
