The story of a little pig with big dreams!!!

Mumbai, July 24, 2006: Have you ever wanted to be different, but didn't know where to begin? Watch this inspirational comic fable about Babe, the pig, who defied destiny by daring to be different, by daring to be… a sheepdog!!! Watch this entertaining film with a subtle message, which doesn't fail to motivate. Tune in to BABE this Wednesday, July 26th 2006, at 9 p.m. only on Star Movies.

The film, which is based on the book "The Sheep-Pig" by Dick King-Smith is a tale about not fitting in and the lengths to which an ordinary pig will go to find acceptance. All kinds of species live on the Hoggett farm. Each animal has a job to do, tries to do it well and aims to keep their owners happy, but the pressure to avoid becoming Christmas dinner can make an animal do some pretty outlandish things. When Farmer Hoggett won Babe as a raffle prize, he had no idea just how much the piglet's open mind and big heart would affect the lives of everyone, animal and human alike, on the farm. Fly, the matriarch sheepdog, raised Babe as one of her own. All the animals grew to accept him and he loved them back, crumbling barriers that had stood for years. Even Farmer Hoggett sensed something special in Babe and made sure he learned sheep herding along with his new brothers just in case the impossible happened. It did...and when the world was laughing loudest at Hoggett and Babe as they entered the arena to compete for the world sheepdog championship, this strangely matched pair had the energy and dignity to see it through and triumph!!!!

Farmer Hoggett and his wife, Esme, are played by James Cromwell and Magda Szubanski. The voice of Roscoe Lee Brown, as the narrator and all of the wonderful characters in the film retell the magical story, which can be enjoyed over and over again like a classic fairy tale.

GET TO KNOW BABE!!!
¢ The talking pig is a combination of 48 real Yorkshire pigs plus an animatronic double. A makeup artist added toupee and eyelashes to each, and computer digitization manipulated pictures of the snout to make the pig appear to talk

¢ Because baby pigs grow so fast, 48 pigs were used during filming for the role of Babe

So tune in, this Wednesday, July 26th at 9 p.m. to meet Babe, the lovable pig, only on Star Movies.
