Romance. Passion. Emotion. Synonymous with the voice of Andrea
Bocelli. The Tuscan-born Andrea Bocelli has seduced audiences world over with
his moving melodies and passionate performances. And now Star World brings him
to your living room with a special presentation, Andrea Bochelli: Amore under
the Desert Sky this Friday, July 21st at 9 p.m. only on Star World. Ten
years ago, Andrea exploded onto the international music scene with 'Romanza',
a collection of passionate original Italian pop ballads. With 'Amore' Andrea Bocelli
returns to the romance and passion of 'Romanza', in a whole new musical direction
that will thrill music lovers. Spanish guitars flourish, accordions and harmonicas
provide charming melodies, and traditional Latin percussion insistently keeps
the tempo. Beautiful orchestras remain, but for 'Amore' Andrea stylistically exchanges
the grandeur of a 19th century European opera house for the romance of a 20th
century Hollywood sound studio. The album is a collection of mostly Italian
and Spanish love songs and pop standards, including duets with Christina Aguilera,
Kenny G, and Stevie Wonder. This new special was recorded in Lake Las Vegas from
a concert venue that literally floats in the resort's signature 320-acre lake.
With sweeping views of the area's Ponte Vecchio-style bridge and Mediterranean-themed
village as a backdrop, Bocelli performs songs from his album Amore such as "Autumn
Leaves" and "It's Impossible." 'Amore' features songs that span
musical eras from the 1920s to the 1980s, in Italian, Spanish, French and English,
that music lovers have loved in interpretations by legendary vocalists including
Edith Piaf, Luis Miguel, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. Tune
in to Andrea Bochelli: Amore Under The Desert Sky, a special presentation this
