Liverpool-Chelsea clash on ESPN Star Sports this weekend

New Delhi, September 30, 2005: ESPN Star Sports brings the English Premier League, live and exclusive, this weekend with a colossal clash on cards between two of English Football's best clubs. Chelsea will take on Liverpool in a repeat of the mid week Champions' league encounter between the two sides.

Both sides, after a stalemate on Wednesday night, will look to rest advantage with them in their premiership clash on Sunday. The Blues with a clear lead at the top will look to secure all three points against the slightly off mark Reds. Though, Benitez's side may be lacking in the killer instinct they exhibited last season to win the Champions' League title, experts have tipped them as the only contender to Mourinho's all conquering men. The match is the toast of the season with a win, three points and pride on stake.

In other matches this weekend, resurgent Newcastle with Owen in a scoring form makes a trip to Portsmouth. Manchester United bouncing back after their league defeat last weekend with a win in Champions' League takes on Fulham who will be looking to benefit from United's poor run of form. On Premiership Saturday, Blackburn Rovers host West Brom with very impressive West Ham United taking on last placed Sunderland to cap the line up.

On Super Sunday, Arsenal host Birmingham, fresh from their win over Manchester United, without inspirational Thierry Henry. The Gunners have undoubtedly performed below far this season so far and will be looking to consolidate to have any chances of catching Chelsea at the top. Bolton Wanderers make a trip to Wigan on Sunday with all eyes being on the big clash between the Reds and the Blues.

Will it be Gerrard magic or Lampard skills that will hog the limelight this weekend in English Football?
