EPL Super Sunday features champions Chelsea vs Arsenal on ESPN Star Sports

New Delhi, August 18, 2004: Live action from the English Premier League (EPL) continues on ESPN STAR Sports, Asia’s number one sports broadcaster, this weekend. After an exciting and gripping opening weekend where the super powers restored authority and the new promotions sounded a warning, EPL gets ready for one of its biggest matches of the season.

Champions Chelsea who laboured to a win over Premiership debutants Wigan will take on last year’s runner ups Arsenal. The two giants of English Football will clash on Super Sunday at Stamford Bridge promising a nail biting edge of the seat action on field. Arsenal has looked a bit shaky in midfield with the transfer of their inspirational Captain Patrick Vieira to Juventus this season. However the classy side showed that they had not lost any of their awesome and slick finishing skills during their match against Newcastle last weekend. On the other hand Chelsea with their new and record signing of Michael Essien, for 38 million euros from Lyon, will be hoping to set the record straight and prove their supremacy in English Football.

The coming week will also see Manchester United take on Aston Villa. Villa will be looking to focus on on-field action as their negotiations to sign Milan Baros from Liverpool makes news across England. With the red devils starting the season with a bang, Villa will have to put up a strong show at Old Trafford. European Champions Liverpool will be action on Premiership Saturday against Sunderland, one of the three new teams in the league this season. Liverpool will be ruing the chances they missed against Middlesbrough last week and looking to make amends this coming Saturday.
