The Idea MTV VJ Hunt has announced the final 2 winners – the charming Sunanda
Wong and the witty Gaelyn Mendonca! After an ultimate ‘Battle of Cool’
between the present MTV VJs Nikhil, Cyrus, Anusha, Bani, Jose, Reah & Siddharth
and the top ten Idea MTV VJ Hunt finalists, Sunanda and Gaelyn were declared the
winners amongst much fanfare. Tune
in to MTV & catch all the action on Friday, 12th March @ 7 pm. Catch
the good ol’ MTV fun and humor in the Idea MTV VJ Hunt grand finale, with
motor-mouth VJs Cyrus Sahukar and Jose hosting the special. And if their verbal
assault does not impress you, rely on the dance moves perfected by VJs Bani, Rhea,
Siddharth, Ayushmann and Nikhil Chinappa. Adding icing to the already colorful
cake is VJ Anusha with her band D-Major, grooving her way to glory. After
going through thousands of profiles in the audition phase, the channel shortlisted
100 contestants who were given online tasks over a period of three weeks. Based
on their performances, Tarun Udasi (Indore), Prabal Punjabi (Mumbai), Karan Lamba
(Mumbai), Ankita Shorey (New Delhi), Sukhmani Sadana (Chandigarh), Ghazal Thakral
(Mumbai), Kartike Kapoor (Mumbai), Rohini Ramanathan (Mumbai), Sunanda Wong (New
Delhi) & Gaelyn Mendonca (Mumbai) made it to the top 10 list, and hosted various
MTV shows in the ‘VJ Hunt Week’, which is like a gratification even
before getting selected!
Started
way back in 1999, the MTV VJ Hunt has discovered talents including Nikhil Chinapa,
Maria Goretti, Amrita Arora, Mini Mathur, Cyrus Sahukar, Anusha Dandekar, Ramona
and Sophie. And with time the discoveries only get sassier as MTV announces Sunanda
Wong and Gaelyn Mendonca as the new faces on MTV.
