MUMBAI: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) stated that it will hold a meeting with stakeholders on 6 June at 3 pm, to discuss the policy guidelines for uplinking and downlinking of TV channels from India that was last revised in 2011.

According to the notice issued by MIB, the meeting has been convened by the joint secretary in a bid to seek views of stakeholders for suggesting changes in the guidelines.

Last month, MIB had set up a meeting to discuss issues related to uplinking and downlinking of satellite channels on 30 April in New Delhi. It had informed all broadcasters that authorised representatives of the companies whose proposals were pending in the Ministry could participate in the meeting.
