More than 1,00,000 players register…

Bangalore, April 28, 2006: Awaaz has created history in online gaming registrations for any single game. The tally for Moneybhai Investor II currently stands at more than 1,00,000 players with registrations still coming in. Awaaz Moneybhai Investor II gives its viewers an opportunity to win real money by playing with virtual money in a first-of-its-kind real-time stock markets game.

The game show has received a fantastic response from the investor – experts and novices alike. This game has been introduced for the second season in a row with a larger prize kitty, with cash prizes daily. Users get the opportunity to try their hand at the stock market and earn cash regardless of the way the Sensex performs. Consequently the response to the game show has been overwhelming and is still growing.

The game’s strong suit is its easy access and simple playing rules. Fuelling the demand, the prizes have been increased substantially; the daily winner can now earn a sum of Rs 10,000, the first runner up - Rs 5000, second runner up – Rs 3000 and the third runner up - Rs 2000. The weekly winners receive a digital camera and a home theatre system. The monthly winner receives a free fully paid return trip to Bangkok*.

The format of Moneybhai Investor is not restricted to any particular section of audience. It appeals to the young as well as the old, from accountants to students and Governments employees and surprisingly housewives too. Viewers across the country have registered, with almost equal representation from the north and the south of India. Even the eastern states logged on and registered for play.

The game

Moneybhai Investor is a first of its kind simulated stock market game aimed at giving viewers and investors an easy and interactive platform – using Television, the Internet and Mobile phones to understand and invest in the stock market without fear of losing their investment.

The environment will simulate a real life stock market investment experience without the worry of any real downside. The portfolio that shows maximum percentage gain in a predefined period viz.: Everyday (end of day); Every week (end of week) or has the highest portfolio size at the end of the month will win cash prizes everyday or the grand prize at the end of the month. Participants need to register online on www.moneybhai.com or SMS MB to 2622 through their mobile phone to be part of the Moneybhai Investor.

Speaking on the Moneybhai Investor, back on popular demand, an Awaaz spokesperson said, “Moneybhai investor was launched with the simple objective of making the viewers learn while they earn. This time Awaaz gives winners the opportunity to make real money from their virtual gains. ‘Moneybhai Investor’, an exciting game for both existing investors as well as first-time investors, has received better response in round two of the game, owing to the booming stock markets and the edge that the game offers to its participants – earning real money and losing none.”
