INFORMATION CHANNEL PUSHES BOXES FOR HOTELS & CATV

Singapore-based Information Television Channel (ITC) today announced the launch of its new ITC decoder and ITC receiver for the reception of its TV programme listings guide off Thaicom-3. The management announced that cable TV operators and hotels will now be able to offer viewers access to the programme listings of more than 100 TV channels free and offer the service as a standalone channel. The ITC decoder costing US$295 allows cable operators or hotels to add their own programme or pay per view listings. The IRD has a sticker price of US$275.

A quarter of the ITC channel screen is available for video advertising at a minor cost while a ticker at the bottom can be used by each cable TV operator or hotel to key in messages or for local advertising. Those interested in the service can log into http://www.infotvchannel.com
