THE BATTLE OVER INCABLENET

The scrap to take control of leading Mumbai MSO InCablenet is gathering pace. Recently, the Hinduja management had a meeting with its distributors or franchisees in Mumbai in order to gauge whether there was any likelihood of them getting into bed with the breakaways, Jagjit Singh Kohli, Yogesh Shah and Yogesh Radhakrishnan. The trio has been wooing InCablenet franchisees in order to set up a rival network and the market buzz is that they have managed to get the support of at least half of them.

InCablenet, however, denies that this is true and that all the distributors are with it. Earlier in April, the InCablenet management had denied that the three directors were quitting the cable network they were instrumental in setting up. But time proved them wrong and the trio later said they were hoping for a patch up and had therefore toed the official InCablenet line. Today, along with other financers, they are in charge of Entertainment Television Network, a music channel. The trio has vowed .
