Slumdog team to donate 500,000 pounds for child welfare

The Oscar-winning team of 'Slumdog Millionaire' will donate 500,000 pounds to a non-profit organisation working for the welfare of the underprivileged children of Mumbai.

The film, which earned eight Oscars along with millions as box-office revenue, depicts the struggle of Jamal, a young slumdweller of Mumbai looking for his lost love in the grim underbelly of the city.
