UK: Parminder, Navdip and Sonia lead women dominated EMMAs

Actress Parminder Nagra, BBC journalist Navdip Dhariwal, BBC Asian Network's Sonia Deol, ITV's Nina Nannar, singer Norah Jones, Mirror's Ruki Sayid, and Sky News' Lisa Aziz are some of the leading names that have been nominated for an EMMA Award this year.

The media awards, knowns as the EMMAs, are designed to honour public figures who have helped encourage multiculturalism in the UK. This year will mark the 7th year for the award ceremony, to be held next month. It is sponsored by Natwest Bank and be shown on BBC2 on May 30th.
