Movies
are in Disneys DNA, says Walt Disney International chairman Andy Bird. Yet,
as the company enters its sixth year in India, they have released only one, a
co-production with Yashraj Studios, Roadside Romeo, a second, Zokkoman, a home
production, is on the floors and a third, a foray into regional cinema
the first from a Hollywood studio, in Telugu, was announced only a few
days ago.
Bollywood has feared the entry of the big boys from Hollywood, as Mumbai was to be their base. Hollywood working styles were different, their scales were huge, they thought different and they had loads of money that was the general surmise of many in the film industry. | |||||
