SES ASTRA seeks out Sogecable for Spanish HD

Spanish pay-TV operator Sogecable is joining forces with SES ASTRA to enhance the development of its HD direct-to-home services.

Under the terms of the agreement, SES ASTRA will provide Sogecable, a long standing ASTRA client, with two additional satellite transponders in 2010 at its prime orbital position 19.2 degrees East to complement its existing service that broadcasts from 19.2 degrees East since its launch in 1993.
