MUMBAI: The creative mandate for ICC World Cup has been bagged by Ogilvy and Mather India. The pitch was called by ICC’s media rights partner Star India, the official broadcaster for the cricket championship in India.

This is the second time that the agency has been handed the creative duties for the quadrennial event after the 2011 World Cup, which was jointly organised by India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

At the time, Ogilvy was responsible for pre-launch activities across all mediums to post-launch of the World Cup, not just in India but for the other two venues as well.

ICC has also announced Veuve Clicquot as the exclusive champagne partner for the 10-team tournament being played across 11 venues.

Earlier, ICC had also named Bira as the official and exclusive beer for the World Cup 2019.
