MUMBAI: Government schools in India reportedly lack holistic development of children in terms of education, due to insufficient funds and resources.  Thus, leading to a great divide between the government schools and private schools in the country. With a determination to erase this divide between government and private schools in the country, Faber Castell, India joins hands with Simple Education Foundation on their project  ‘Simple Schools’ , an initiative that focuses on an innovative school transformation model that is being implemented in  various government schools in North India. With a proven record of impacting more than 1200 students and 100 teachers and over 400 parents, the Project is designed to provide children with a comprehensive learning experience that augments their interest in learning and gives an impetus to academic excellence and leadership in these schools.

Speaking on this association, Mr. Partho Chakrabarti, MD, Faber Castell, India expressed “We’re delighted to partner with an organization like Simple Education Foundation, which has been changing the face of education in government schools, since 2013 in North India. Their noble mission to provide access to quality education to children and to prepare them for a dynamic and connected 21st century world are what touched us. In an instant we were able to resonate with their objectives of making learning experience for the children innovative, joyful, informative and sustainable, while ensuring equal opportunity and are therefore looking at an everlasting relationship with SEF.”

“We’re really excited to have Faber Castell, India as our resource partner. We see great alignment in the commitment to quality learning we aspire to give to all our children studying in government schools. We look forward to deepening our partnership with them and collaborating together to give diverse learning opportunities to our children.” – Mainak Roy, Co-Founder & CEO of Simple Education Foundation
